Attire

Remember, this is a Children’s Museum.  We do not allow any attire that is offensive, vulgar or instills hate.

Adventure Guide

The Way to Play Adventure Guide is a packet of simple and entertaining play activities for you to use at the Museum. They are designed to help you better understand your child’s developmental milestones, gauge each new stage of growth and encourage emerging abilities in your child’s life.

Safety

All children visiting the museum must be accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older.  For safety sake, we remind you that all adult visitors must supervise the children in their party.

Respectful

Be respectful of other parents, caregivers and children. We are all learning. Pretend City is a place for empathy, not judgement. Be present with your children. Your attention and engagement are meaningful for your children and help create a safe space for all. Pretend City is a nonprofit organization. Items being taken from the museum, lost, or damaged are a financial burden for us. Please leave everything here at Pretend City and take care of our exhibits so everyone can benefit.

Service Animals

Pretend City allows full access to guide dogs and service animals under ADA requirements. Many of our young visitors love four-legged friends and may want to pet service animals without understanding they are on the job. While it is not legally required to use an identification leash or vest, we strongly encourage visitors with service animals to use them. An identification leash or vest can help protect your service animal and keep them safe.
