Keeping Families Healthy
At Pretend City Children’s Museum, we believe in supporting healthy childhood development, and we know that no one is a bigger champion for their families’ health than YOU!
Our annual School Readiness Fair has become one of the most valuable events in Orange County for receiving insightful resource material and providing an opportunity to speak with trained professionals about your child’s development.
What To Expect
The School Readiness Fair is the perfect for your family. Visitors of all ages will enjoy a whole host of event entertainment such as live music performances, face painting, prize giveaways, and more.
Even more importantly, we’ll have free developmental checkups and health screenings including hearing, speech and language, behavior, body mass index (BMI), height and weight, blood pressure and dental with no appointment necessary.
Serving A Purpose
Most children do not receive developmental screenings at their well-child doctor visits and Pretend City believes it’s vitally important to educate parents on the need for these routine screenings. We believe in supporting every family with more information about their child’s healthy development.
The goal of the School Readiness Fair is to empower parents to boost their child’s development and ever-evolving skills.
The School Readiness Fair is part of Pretend City’s child development initiative, Good To Go From Head To Toe!, and made possible by Children & Families Commission of Orange County, in addition to the generous support of our sponsors.
Healthy Kids, Healthy Museum
To protect the health of Pretend City Children’s Museum community, we ask families to please only come play with us on days that everyone is feeling well.
