We started taking our kids to Pretend City to play when they were very young.  After the first visit, we fell in love with Pretend City.  When we were invited to participate as a family in the house exhibit, it allowed us to know the work of the staff and learn more about the museum’s mission.

Contributing towards improving the museum’s infrastructure ensures that children have a safe and enjoyable environment to explore and learn. Donating to programs that support access for underserved communities is also close to our hearts, as it ensures that all children, regardless of their background, can benefit from the enriching experiences offered by Pretend City.

Pretend City offers a unique and immersive experience, allowing children to explore the world around them and make sense of their experiences while developing essential skills such as problem-solving, communication, and collaboration. It’s remarkable how pretending to be different characters or taking on various roles helps our kids build their self-esteem. Natalia and Renata became more self-assured and comfortable expressing themselves while opening the doors to their imagination.

Pretend City has played a significant role in our children’s growth. They have developed a strong passion for the arts through the museum’s interactive experiences and creative environment. Seeing how their time spent at Pretend City has influenced their paths is incredible. From being an introverted kid playing at the museum’s theater, Natalia now participates in musical theater and acting, while Renata has found her calling in visual arts. We are grateful for the foundation Pretend City has provided, nurturing their creativity, and helping them discover their talents.

Our favorite things to donate is our time and our heart. Volunteering and being part of the Board and the committees at Pretend City has been an honor and one of our biggest rewards because you can see the results. Go any day and take a look at the kids enjoying the museum you will be amazed.

Pretend City is not only for kids; we as parents can learn so much about child development and the needs of our local kids. You can find support with any concern about early childhood development and there are many opportunities to help and create a better community. Everyone is welcomed and embraced, and differences are celebrated.

Pretend City Children’s Museum is not only a place for play. It is a safe place where kids can be themselves. Parents and families can be active participants with many opportunities to engage and contribute to building a stronger community with a rainbow of possibilities for our children for their future.
