PHILANTHROPIC EVENTS >>

Our philanthropic events have become some of Orange County’s most celebrated social events where we come together for fun and networking to celebrate Pretend City while raising significant funds benefitting young children. Thank you to the many supporters who have participated in our events as guests, individual donors, and corporate sponsors.

Our annual Poker tournament invites guests to go all in for the kids. Join us on Thursday, October 21, 2021 for our 12th Annual event at Big Canyon Country Club. It will be a night of all-around fun, lively antics, and opportunities to bet big for early childhood education.  Your play can help ensure our children have a strong start in life.  This event is sure to sell out, so register today.

Beyond normal times called for beyond normal thinking! Thank you sponsors and donors for your generous support of Pretend City through our 4th annual Start Smart “Think Outside the Lunch(eon) Box” virtual fundraising event held on October 23. This annual event is a celebration of the impact Pretend City makes on our youngest children’s healthy development and wellbeing. This year’s event featured inclusion and diversity expert Dr. Val Wise; entrepreneur, mom and podcaster, Lindsay Dickhout, DIY blogger Dinah Wulf from Irvine Moms Network; and early childhood expert Linda Hunter. If you missed the program, click below to view at any time.

We are grateful to our supporters who attended the Sip, Savor and Sea Summer Soiree at the Balboa Bay Club on June 10, 2021.  Pretend City netted $86k in support of healthy development and early learning and to help the Museum get back on track after the pandemic
