World Ocean’s Weekend

Join us for a celebration of the World’s Oceans! Pretend City invites you to experience an exciting weekend of exploration and discovery with our World Ocean’s Weekend event.
June 10th, 2023: Math/Science: Mobile Touch Tank (TIMES: 10 am-12 pm)
Concordia University will be bringing in a mobile touch tank with a variety of sea creatures for the children to engage with. Students will engage with our guests to explore meaningful conversations about how to respect sea creatures, the ocean and our impact on it all. Play Partner: Concordia University has a dedicated Marine Lab that supports a variety of classes and aspiring students. They include classes that focus on biology, marine biology, physical oceanography, zoology, ocean science, and research in biology. Join CUI students as they share their love for sea animal with our guests!
Story time (TIMES: 2:30 pm): All the Water in the World by: George Ella Lyon
Art: During this week, children will foster a strong curiosity for our world’s oceans. They will learn to take care of our oceans and will also learn about 3D modeling, along with art.
