About the play partner: With her Master’s degree in Chemistry from USC, Erin has established herself as a dedicated researcher in sustainable chemistry. Furthermore, she is highly enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge through science communication and advocating for the incredible aspects of chemistry. Recognized with multiple awards for her exceptional contributions to science outreach, Erin’s journey is fueled by a deep-seated passion for inspiring young minds.
Driven by the belief that everyone deserves a chance to marvel at the magic of chemistry, Erin embarked on a mission to ignite the spark of curiosity in the hearts of children. Thus, “The Adventures of Chemist Clara” was born—a series that merges her love for the outdoors with her passion for chemistry.
Through the enchanting tales of Chemist Clara, Erin invites young readers to join her on exhilarating journeys through the mysteries of nature. Each story is a celebration of curiosity, resilience, and the boundless possibilities that await those who dare to dream.
With “The Adventures of Chemist Clara,” Erin doesn’t just aim to educate; she seeks to empower. She wants every child to know that they, too, can pursue their dreams, no matter how big or daunting they may seem. Erin firmly believes that the only limit is the extent of one’s imagination.

Tabling: (10:30am-3pm outside Trader Joe’s; provide table/chairs if needed): UCI PERC (Pediatric Exercise and Genomics Research) About the play partner: We are part of the Pediatric Exercise and Genomics Research Center at UCI Pediatrics, and our undergraduate outreach program focuses on providing education to the public, primarily parents and children, about nutrition, sugar intake, diseases, exercise, and leading healthier lifestyles. We work closely alongside the faculty and staff of the department, as well as pediatricians, medical residents and students, and leading researchers.

About the play partner: New York Life Health Insurance will be on site to educate parents about a Child ID. With a Child ID, there is a 60% faster response rate if a child goes missing. Basic information and children’s fingerprints are all that is needed to get started!
