Baby Steps
June 12, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am
Sunday, June 12 | 8 AM – 9:30 AM
We’re going to have fun running our fingers and scoopers through the sensory bin – what surprises will we find? And create a masterpiece stamp art with colorful paints and fun different textured balls.
Purpose Behind the Play: Physical development through fine motor practice, sensory exploration, concept development, and color recognition.
Specifically, for: Infant (0-18 months), grownups. For the comfort of our infant guests, no older siblings please.
Art Studio Sessions (8:00 AM – 9:15 AM ):
- The cool, soft texture of goop filled with rubbery, plastic insects is the perfect way to celebrate the spring season. Our fine motor skills will be hard at work using brushes, pouring water, and letting the goop drip from our hands.
Music & Movement: Tiny Tim > Enjoy a song about Tiny Tim, the turtle, who loves water so much he swallows too much and gets a little tummy ache. Let’s follow along with our fun fingerplay.
Sensational Story Time: Baby Beluga > We’ll celebrate World Oceans Week with our curious baby beluga friend as he spends his day exploring the ocean until he is so tired that he can’t wait to get home into his cozy waterbed.
Pretend City’s Brain Builders and Pretendgineers and our Good to Go from Head to Toe Team.
Grown-up Tip: It can be extremely difficult to figure out what your child is feeling or wanting when they don’t have the words to express it. Being more observant of what happened leading up to being angry, sad, or excited will help you as a parent understand your child’s emotions.
