Taste the food of India!
Have you tried Indian food? Would you like to?
Cooking Activities: 11 am & 2:30 pm
*This is not a cooking class, we will engage in imaginative play and have an opportunity to enjoy pre-made cooked food.
Come taste the traditional mango drink, Mango Lassi! This is a traditional yogurt mango drink!
Purpose: These activities will encourage children to learn about other cultures and cuisines. They will develop fine motor skills, learn about cause and effect, and develop neuro-pathways through discovering new textures.
Art (ALL DAY):
Exploration No. 1> Create a delicious kebab using long sticks and pieces of felt!
Exploration No. 2> Use long strips of paper and glue to fold up a samosa!
Exploration No. 3 (Sensory Table)> Cook up a huge batch of biryani in our sensory bin! Add colors and fake ingredients to rice and stir it with large spoons!
Purpose: It is important for children to develop an interest in food, even if it’s outside of eating it. Kids will be able to learn about foods they may have never tried before, and can cooperate to create delicious things. They will develop their fine motor skills, learn about cause and effect, and practice folding 3D models.
