Career Day

October 5, 2022

Smart Art: When I grow up, I want to be a musician! Using bells and pipe cleaners, string together an instrument of your very own!  When I grow up, I want to be a scientist! So we will test out how oil and water don’t mix to make colorful patterns! Explore figurines from different professions in colorful shaving cream!

Purpose: These activities will not only get children thinking about the future, but will also give them an opportunity to explore things they may have never experienced. They will refine their fine motor skills and teach them about cause and effect, while also engaging their sense of touch. Children will practice beading and also engage socially with one another.

Story Time (TIMES: 11am & 2:30pm): There’s a Hat for That by: Kevin Fleming

Synopsis: We often ask children, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” This question implies there should be one fixed answer. But it is more likely that your child will experiment with many occupations and explore multiple careers throughout their life.

At all ages, children show interests, abilities, gifts, and unfulfilled potential. Observing these subtle signs and encouraging exploration towards activities that align with their personality will point them towards satisfying and meaningful careers.
