Raksha Bandhan

Raksha Bandhan or “Rakhi” is a popular Hindu tradition that celebrates the bond between brother and sister. Celebrate this holiday with us by recognizing the special bonds we have with all our family members! Join us for some collaborative activities that will focus on building bonds and showing our love and appreciation.
Story Time (TIMES: 11am & 2:30pm)
Purpose: Creating presents for others helps develop a sense of empathy and social/emotional development. This activity also focuses on fine motor development, concentration and focus, creative expression, bilateral coordination and visual motor skills!
Table (throughout the day): HSS is coming to bring traditional Raksha Bandhan materials to our space for children to touch, feel and explore. They will have experts on the holiday with them to answer questions and provide more information on the Hindi culture!
