Come on a magic carpet ride with Paper Magic, a story about what happens when you befriend a lonely book! Paper Magic was written and illustrated by Eileen Chen from age 14-16 to illuminate her love of imagination and storytelling.
Purpose Behind the Play: literacy, imagination, friendship
Sensational Story Time & Activity (11 AM): Paper Magic > Join us as Eileen Chen shares her book and love of reading with us! Paper Magic is part of Emagination Island, which teaches kids to make things that matter for causes they care about. Afterward, we’ll gather to create and write to our own fairy friends!
Grown-up Tip: It’s never too early to become a story-teller! Not only does story telling connect us and strengthen human bonds, story-telling at an early age promotes literacy development – it’s a bridge between oral language and the skills of reading and writing.
