Neurodivergent Family Night
January 22 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Join us for a free evening where children and caretakers are invited to play in a sensory-friendly, neuro-affirming environment! We encourage the whole family to attend, and therapists can join as well.
Neurodivergent Family Nights are held on the second Tuesday and fourth Thursday of each month from 5-7 pm (after we close to general admission).
On these nights, we dim the lights in the museum, turn off the sounds, and offer a limited capacity of 250 guests. Staff are happy and ready to assist with providing various materials, including noise-cancelling headphones, fidget toys, sunglasses, and weighted materials for your convenience.
*Registration is required and opens two weeks before each event.
Play Partners:
Philharmonic Society Music Mobile: Arriving in a Music Mobile van full of instruments, Philharmonic Society docents introduce the symphony orchestra and musical concepts with an engaging 30-minute presentation and instrument petting zoo, giving students the opportunity to try out different instruments in this hands-on experience.
Regional Center Orange County: A representative from Regional Center Orange County will be joining us to share about programs and resources they provide to support early intervention. The Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC) is a private, nonprofit organization contracted by the State of California to coordinate lifelong services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The regional center is the first stop for those seeking to obtain local services and support to help them live safely and with dignity in the community.
