Calling all inventors, innovators, and imagineers! Join us in The City for an invention convention celebrating a city full of innovators!
Purpose Behind the Play: imagination, innovation, problem-solving, cognitive thinking, fine motor.
Smart Art (on-going):
- Can You Draw a Hat for That? >We’re looking to There’s a Hat for That for inspiration as we explore paper and drawing tools!
- Cars & Careers> Let’s paint vehicles that help our local heroes do their jobs!
Sensational Storytime (11:45 AM & 3:30 PM): If I Built a Car> Follow along as Jack explains his dream car – it even comes equipped wit a robot, snack bar, and pool!
Simple Science (following storytime): Upcycled Creation Station> Our friends from Child Creativity Lab are leading us in a hands-on exploration!
Grown-up Tip: Give your little one the opportunity to create and design freely with tinker trays! Gather a variety of materials such as pipe cleaners, beads, buttons, recyclables, and popsicle stick and spend time building together. Can you make something that moves? Tinker trays promote open-ended play, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
