Saturday, July 3 – Independence Day Celebration | Sunday, July 4 – Pretend City Closed in honor of Independence Day
Let freedom ring and celebration begin! March on in for some star spangled fun as we learn about our nation’s day of independence. From Smart Art to relays, stories and more, your little firecracker is sure to love what we have in store.
Purpose Behind the Play: Language and literacy development, physical development,
- Smart Art (All Day): Sparkling Fireworks > Fireworks are a symbol of Independence Day. Your children will let their colors burst in our Art Studio by creating their own “fireworks”.
- Lady Liberty Says (10:30 am, 2:30pm): A firework! A star! Get moving in travelling exhibit as we build our gross motor skills through this patriotic dance socially distanced dance party.
Grown-up Tip: Continually introduce new words to your child. Identifying words like red, blue, celebration, independence, patriotic and flag will give your child word association and recognition and build vocabulary.
