Earth Day Celebration

Celebrate Earth Day with as ClimateLitNow! Did you know that Californians throw away nearly 6 million tons of food scraps or food waste each year.  Stop by Pretend City and learn all things composting. What, how and why to compost, and the science of thermophilic bacteria!

About the play partner: 

ClimateLitNow was founded in 2022 by Sky Keyoung to encourage climate literacy, taking inspiration from her own experiences in school by creating youth-centric resources, lessons, and media.

Purpose: Teaching children and adults ways to be more sustainable with food scraps. A great opportunity to build an attitude of conservation and create future stewards of the environment.
