Wednesdays - Preparing for Pre-school: COPE Parenting Class

Series: Wednesdays, July 7 – September 8, 2010
Time: 6:30 – 8:30 pm
What will happen? Is your child prepared for preschool? Give your child the extra support they may need to optimize their social, cognitive and brain development before they enter school. Throughout this ten (10) week workshop, you will learn things like:
• How to foster a healthy, positive parent-child relationship
• How to generate effective solutions to common parenting challenges
• Appropriate developmental expectations
• Specific strategies for how to respond to challenging behavior
• Positive parenting skills and the difference that can make in their child's behavior
• The importance of giving children choices and how that affects their self esteem
Who is it for? Parents/caregivers with children ages 3 to 5 years old.
