Celebrate World Kindness Day
November 13, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 2:30 pm

We strive to teach little ones how to develop their moral compass and character traits. For World Kindness Day, we are focusing on activities that promote the importance of kindness!
Purpose Behind the Play: Social emotional development, self-regulation, prosocial behaviors, and literacy and communication.
- Smart Art (Times Vary): Kindness Rocks > We think being kind is cool! Stop by the Art Studio to create a kindness rock that will remind your little gem to be kind every day.
- Sensational Story Time (11:00am & 2:00pm): Be Polite and Kind > Please join us for this beautifully presented book that teaches children the basics of good manners and gracious behavior. We’ll also learn how to express some basic phrases in sign language.
- Life Lessons (11:15am & 2:15pm): Acts of Kindness> Role playing is a wonderful learning tool to teach young ones and get them thinking about how they can use kindness in different situations. Join us as we discuss what kindness means and role play together as learn about compassion.
Grown-up Tip: The best way to teach children about kindness is to model it to them. You can model kindness by offering to let someone with less stuff go ahead of you in line at the supermarket or by assisting an elderly neighbor bring in their groceries. If you have a family member or friend that is sick you can ask your child for ideas on how you can help them to feel better.
