Dance for Kindness! Let’s groove to the rhythm of kindness with Backhausdance and YLC!
Four stations in the traveling exhibit. 10 am -12:30 pm
Youth Leadership Council Volunteers will be stationed at and rotating through different stations.
Music & Movement TIME: 2:30 pm
Let’s get up and Dance for Kindness with Backhausdance, Orange County’s award-winning contemporary dance company, in this fun and active workshop for children and families of all ages and abilities. Learn how to express kindness, caring and positive emotions through warm-up, dance and movement activities. Together we will create our own Dance for Kindness to share with everyone and celebrate World Kindness Day! Workshop led by Anne Elise Garrison, Backhausdance professional dancer and educator. Backhausdance vision: dance every day for everybody!

Our engaging and diverse dance education programs connect to 21st-century career and readiness skills. Workshops, assemblies and residencies focus on national and State of California dance and common-core standards across the curriculum (STEAM) and English Language Arts, socio-emotional learning (SEL) and universal design for learning (UDL) choreographic principles and team-building skills which expand imagination, build character skills and communication abilities, build confidence, and health and wellness for all ages.
