Let’s observe Ramadan! For the hundreds of millions of Muslims around the world who observe Ramadan, this month is a time to focus on their faith and perform generous acts. Some Muslims use this time to raise money or donate to help others in need. Today we will learn about this significant tradition in the Muslim culture.
Purpose Behind the Play: Cultural awareness, literacy, and fine motor development
- Smart Art (Art Studio – Times Vary):Ramadan Moon> A major symbol of Ramadan is the crescent moon. Its presence signifies the beginning of Ramadan! Join us in today as we create a large hanging crescent for our Art Studio!.
Grown-up Tip: Pretend City is dedicated to providing an environment for children to experience new cultures and learn to appreciate diversity. Ramadan is celebrated by many of our friends in the community. Books are a great way to introduce something new to your child.
