Mother’s Day Celebration

Moms make everything better! Today we will be celebrating all moms and grandmothers for all the love, joy, and happiness they bring to our lives. Spend the day with us for some special mommy bonding as we enjoy arts and activities. Happy Mother’s Day from our Pretend City family!
Purpose Behind the Play: Literacy development, language and communication development, and prosocial behavior.
- Art Studio Sessions: Head to the art studio for all things flowers! Create a special floral keepsake together as we stamp, paint, and shape flowers from various materials.
- Sensational Story Time (11:30am, 3:30pm): Are You My Mother? Fly on over to our circle time as we read this classic tale. Following our story time, we will practice our sequencing and retelling skills to expand our language development.
Grown-up Tip: Make sure that the moms in your child’s life have a memorable Mother’s Day. There’s nothing that mothers like more than a lovingly crafted handmade gift on Mother’s Day. Take time today to acknowledge and appreciate all the hard work moms do with a family art project.
