Lunar Event/ Persian New Year

Celebrate the Persian New Year! Nowruz means “New Day” which is celebrated on this holiday. Join us as we explore and celebrate the Persian New Year through activities, art, and Storytime!
Art (ALL DAY):
Exploration No. 1> Explore making hyacinths in a new way! Use paper towel rolls, glue, and paper to make flowers that will stand up tall for the whole new year!
Exploration No. 2> Take a look at yourself in the mirror, and then paint using fake eggs on paper!
Exploration No. 3 (Sensory Table)> Discover oranges floating in water, which represent the turning of the earth and the beginning of the new year!
Story Time (11 am & 2:30 pm):
Norooz A Celebration of Spring! The Persian New Year
Synopsis: In honor of this, the biggest Persian celebration of the year, we are gathering together to learn about the customs and traditions of this holiday through this delightfully, educational children’s book.
