About the play partner: John Young spent nearly 40 years in the corporate world as a cybersecurity expert for IBM and McDonnell Douglas. He’s the author of three other books, but “The Magical Life of Elf the Blind Wonder Dog!” is his first book for children. It was a Top 5 finalist in the 2023 International Book Awards for Children’s Nonfiction. The next book in the series will team up Elf with Scarlett the Cyber Bird, and together they’ll help show kids how to use social media safely while respecting the feelings of others.
