Trick-or-Treat in the city! Families will be encouraged to come in costume and engage in a trick or treat in the city! We will have multiple stations throughout the city that families can visit for a special treat!
Art: Come on in to our pumpkin patch and grow a pumpkin of your own! Use construction paper, patterned scissors, and pipe cleaners to put together a pumpkin that will last year-round! You’ll have a graveyard smash with our fun monster mash! Use bold paint, egg cartons, and glue to make fun monster heads that love to gobble up candy! Bubble bubble, toil and trouble! Reach deep in the cauldron, on the double! Pull out bugs and twigs and grime, from deep in the black water for Halloween time!
Purpose: These activities will really get kids in the spirit of Halloween and will encourage them to engage with each other and refine their social skills. They will learn about cause and effect, 3D models, and harness their curiosity. Children will also incorporate their scissor and pencil skills to refine their gross motor skills.
Story Time (TIMES 11AM & 2:30PM): Go Away, Big Green Monster
Synopsis: As kids turn the die-cut pages of this vibrantly illustrated book, they’ll watch the Big Green Monster grow before their very eyes. Then, when they’re ready to show him who’s in charge, they’ll turn the remaining pages and watch him disappear!
Music & Movement (TIMES: 12 noon (session 1) & 3pm (session 2)):
Purpose: When a child engages in trick-or-treating, they are actively experimenting with social and emotional roles in our society. This helps build self-esteem and builds confidence!
