Frankenstein Friday
October 30, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 3:50 pm
In honor of Mary Shelley’s classic fictional character, Frankenstein, we’re celebrating this green giant with monstrously fun activities. We may not be mad scientists, but we’re mad about monsters!
Purpose Behind the Play: Sensory discovery, artistic expression, STEM concepts, number concepts development through arranging, grouping, and identifying shapes
- Smart Art (Times Vary): Monsters, Mosaics, and More > Stomp on by the Art Studio as we create and investigate different materials to create some monster sized art.
- Math Matters (11:00am & 2:00pm ): Monster Math > Shapes are everywhere, but do me afraid, help us identify this monster we made. Can we count on you to help us count and sort these monster size shapes?
- Headin’ Home Parade (11:50am & 3:50pm) Monster Mash > Put on those black dancing boots and meet us in Orange Plaza for this fun Monster Mash dance party that will make Frankenstein even greener with envy!
Grown-up Tip: Is your child afraid of monsters? Are monsters keeping your child up at night? Make some monster spray with your child today and keep those pesky monsters away! Recipe can be found HERE!
Fee: Included with museum admission
