Family Autism Night: For Our Neurodiverse Community

Thursday May 27th | 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Join us for a special event that provides a sensory inclusive environment for our Neurodiverse children and their families. Children on the Autism Spectrum as well as those with learning disabilities and or differences are encouraged to attend. Explore the city and build social skills together during this dedicated event filled with Autism friendly activities, sensory process art, and musical story time.
- Purpose Behind the Play: Personal social interaction, fine motor skills, creative thinking, executive function, sensory stimulation, and musical expression.
- Art Studio Sessions: Loose parts come together as we create patterns and lines through transient art! Mess free color mixing and clay impressions take the stage in this sensory minded process art experience.
Specifically for: Families with children of all ages who are on the autism spectrum or have a disability, as well as therapists and behavioral coaches.
This special evening is an opportunity for children and their parents/siblings/caretakers to have some fun in an autism-friendly environment along with other families. Many of our community partners, who specialize in supporting children on the autism spectrum, will be on-hand to enrich your family’s play experience with welcoming smiles and practical support.
