No bunny does Easter quite like Pretend City Children’s Museum! Hop on over for some fabulous Easter games, activities, and art to keep your bunnies entertained and get them into the Easter spirit. We can’t wait to share this eggs-citing fun with you!
Purpose Behind the Play: Social-emotional development, self-regulation, color identification, critical thinking, and locomotor movement.
Easter Bunny Appearance & Photo-Op in Orange Plaza (11:15 AM & 2:45 PM):
- Come meet The Bunny himself!
Smart Art (on-going):
- Egg-stravagent Eggs: Easter eggs are a symbol of the season and we’re exploring them in a variety of ways! Visit us to decorate your very own egg utilizing a variety of colorful mediums and materials including playdough, glitter, and stamps.
Sensational Story Time in Orange Plaza (11 AM & 2:30 PM):
- Synopsis: Little Bunny can sense something new in the air, and it smells like sunshine and warm breezes. “It smells like Easter!” his friends tell him. But Little Bunny wonders: what is Easter? So he sets out through the forest on an early spring day to find out… This sweet, simple story by Dori Chaconas conveys the spirit of the season through nature, while Margie Moore’s gentle, detailed watercolors reveal the new life of springtime.
Egg Hunt (directly following story time):
We will go on an egg hunt around the City! Use your search and find skills to spot eggs and cross them off! Can you find all the eggs?
Grown-up Tip: While it’s always yummy to enjoy a few treats left by the Easter Bunny, not all eggs need a chocolate surprise! Consider other ways to fill plastic eggs for your family’s hunt this year –stickers, stick on tattoos, or even hair accessories.
RSVP: Not required
Fee: Included with museum admission
