Dance Like a Chicken Day

Shake your tail feathers on down to Pretend City and dance like a chicken with us! We’ll be moving and grooving, clucking, and learning all about these feathered friends.
Purpose Behind the Play: Science fundamentals, language and literacy, and gross motor skills
Smart Art (on-going):
- Moving, Groovin, & Creating: We will move the tables out of the Art Studio experience paint through dance! Put on boots or take off your shoes! Your feet are your tools today!
Sensational Story Time in Orange Plaza (11 AM & 2:30 PM):
- The Interrupting Chicken: It’s time for the little red chicken’s bedtime story — and a reminder from Papa to try not to interrupt. But the chicken can’t help herself! Whether the tale is Hansel and Gretel or Little Red Riding Hood or even Chicken Little, she jumps into the story to save its hapless characters
Music & Movement (immediately following storytime): The Chicken Dance!
Grown-up Tip: The Farm and Food Lab at the Great Park is an interactive, open-ended way for kids to learn about gardening, farming, eating what you grow, and caring for animals. After a day of play in The City, stop on by their space to continue your exploration of farm animals like chickens!
