Did you know that during the summer months, students in elementary school can lose up to 20 percent of what they learned during the school year? In addition, children of adults with low literacy skills are 72 percent more likely to read below their grade level in school. As a parent, what can you do about it this summer? Keep your children reading and engaged! OC Read Family Literacy librarians, Melissa Mutrux and Deanna White will provide information, engaging programs offered by the library, and fun ideas to keep your children reading…all summer long!
Fee: Free event. Museum admittance not included.
