It’s that time of the year when the pilgrimage to Mecca begins! Muslims across the globe are preparing for their holy voyage and we are preparing to partake in some unique activities that celebrate the culture and traditions of Hajj.
Purpose Behind the Play: Social competence, pro-social skills, language and reading development
- Smart Art (Times Vary): Capture the moment of this journey by creating your own Ka’bah painting.
- Sensational Story Time: Gather with us as we read this sweet poem picture book that encourages love and understanding of the rituals and practices of Hajj.
Grown-up Tip: Looking up events of various cultures in your community can open doors of learning for the whole family! Planning an outing with a family that celebrates a different holiday is something to add to the list.
