This month we are all about exploring the world around us, from vehicles to animals to locations. Join us as we examine and engage through paint, song, and play!
Purpose Behind the Play: Physical development through fine motor practice, sensory exploration, concept development, and color recognition.
Specifically, for: Infant (0-18 months) and their grownups. For the comfort of our infant guests, no older siblings please.
Art Studio Sessions (8:00 AM – 9:15 AM ):
- Dipping & Driving> Today in the art studio we’ll be exploring paint as we dip and drive vehicles into paint, and then drive them across bubble wrap. Our sensory bin will have colored ice cubes you can dip into via small hammers. And a final table will have a colorful pom pom exploration.
Music & Movement: Old MacDonald & BINGO > Today we’re meeting in the farm for a thematic, puppet-filled circle time.
Sensational Story Time: We’re Going on a Bear Hunt > Follow a family as they go on a bear hunt and make their way through rough terrain and frightening weather only to find a great, big surprise! This old favorite has beautiful illustration and is a splendid example of repetition.
Play Partner:Piper Preschool, as well as our Pretend City’s Brain Builders and Pretendgineers and our Good to Go from Head to Toe Team.
Piper Preschool: is coming to Irvine in fall of 2022! Using a blended approach of educational, philosophy, children begin with an emergent curriculum are gradually exposed to traditional education as they get older. Piper Preschool serves families six weeks to Pre-K with tours starting late February for fall enrollment.
Original Sprout: Baby cream, detangler, and body wash OH MY! Check out these clean body products that are safe for even the youngest clientele. Samples and giveaways included!
Startwell OC: Focusing on social-emotional development, consultants share the importance of implementing these skills into your child’s life and ways to incorporate them at home.
Grown-up Tip: Infants and children are naturally drawn to loud, moving objects like trains, cars, and planes as they provide sensory input through the sound of the engine, the sight of the lights, the feeling of movement. The next time you take a trip, try to travel through a new mode of transport such as the train!
