Sunday, March 13| 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM
We’re getting ready to spring forward through sensory and artistic explorations of the natural world! Our fine motor skills will be happily engaged as we dive deep into bugs, goopy goop, and colorful paints.
Purpose Behind the Play: Physical development through fine motor practice, sensory exploration, concept development, and color recognition.
Specifically, for: Infant (0-18 months), grownups. For the comfort of our infant guests, no older siblings please.
Art Studio Sessions (8:00 AM – 9:15 AM):
- The cool, soft texture of goop filled with rubbery, plastic insects is the perfect way to celebrate the spring season. Our fine motor skills will be hard at work using brushes, pouring water, and letting the goop drip from our hands.
Music & Movement: Wheels on the Bus circle song time!
Sensational Storytime: Quick as a Cricket > A young boy compares his characteristics to different animals such as being as loud as a lion or slow as a snail. His awareness shows self-confidence and that he is made up of multiple layers.
Play Partners: Sandy Avzaradel from Start Well OC will be providing resources and information to families about early childhood and the importance of social-emotional wellness. Start Well OC can give parents and caregivers the tools to work with their child on different skills to promote a happy healthy childhood.

Grown-up Tip: Use outside time as an exploratory learning experience for your little one. Hunt for specific items (like leaves, snails, rocks), collect pieces of nature in a basket, or feel the textures of different materials. Infants and toddlers love to collect things, grab hold of interesting items, and put things in pockets. This is the perfect opportunity to ask more open-ended questions about the things they’re drawn to.
Don’t forget to pick up a free Ages & Stages Questionnaire! to ensure your little one is developing on track! They’re FREE, fast and easy!
