Baby Steps

Dedicated to children 18 months and younger, Pretend City hosts TWO Baby Steps programs a month on the first Tuesday and second Sunday. This program is a great way to socialize your little one and offers new learning opportunities in a safe space. This is perfect for first time parents who can engage with one another, learn about other resources in the community, all while playing without older children in the museum. 

This event features a story time at 8:45 am in Orange Plaza and finishes off the morning in our grand exit parade.

Pretend City’s Healthy Child Development (9am-3pm): Free developmental screenings for children birth through 6 years old. Ask one of our Good to Go team about your child’s development and ways you can strengthen their skills! The first three years of life are the most critical for development! Join us to learn more about developmental milestones and early intervention 

Start Well: Learn more about your child’s mental health through Start Well. Their vision is for all young children in Orange County to have healthy social and emotional development and access to early mental health supports. Start Well supports ECE providers and families to ensure they are skilled and competent in providing a nurturing environment focused on social and emotional well-being and behavioral health of all children 

Barbara Moore SPA Speech Pathology Associates will be on site to conduct free speech and language assessments
