Way to Play Day, A Package of Learning!

Friday, January 12 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

This month’s Way to Play Day is focusing on symbolic and sociodramatic play! Join us as our Pretendgineers help make your play as educational as possible. There will also be FREE ASQ developmental screenings and dental screenings.

Activity Times: 10:00a.m. – 3:00p.m.; Way to Play Days occur on the 2nd Friday of every month

Exhibit Focus: Amphitheatre Developmental Goal: Symbolic and Sociodramatic Play

Knowing if your child is reaching their developmental milestones is important. Way to Play Days are specially designed to assist parents in finding answers to questions about their child’s development. Good To Go From Head to Toe, Pretend City’s child development initiative, together with our play partners are here to assist you with:

FREE ASQ Developmental Check-ups available from 10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. Provided by Irvine Unified School District. Assess speech, motor, cognitive & social areas

FREE Dental Screenings available from 10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. Provided by Healthy Smiles

*All Screenings are on a first come, first serve basis; limited spaces available*

Play Partner: Help Me Grow, Orange County, Irvine School Readiness Nurses, and Healthy Smiles.

Grown-up Tip: Young children engage in cooperative play by sharing and being around others. Coming to a place like Pretend City will allow your child to connect with other children and explore concepts of self and others. These are valuable skills for every child to learn.

Fee: Check-ups and activities are included with museum admission
