Let’s Do The Dinosaur Stomp!

Wednesday, May 15

Pretend City is going prehistoric and celebrating the biggest lizards that roamed the earth. Today we will learn about different types of dinosaurs through crafts and interactive activities. Let’s learn which were the largest and the smallest, what dinosaurs ate and how they behaved, as well as surprising facts about their extinction. Stomp over to Pretend City for prehistoric fun!

Purpose Behind the Play: Concept Development through curiosity and fine motor development

  • Smart Art (Art Studio-Times Vary): Bricks Stamped Dinosaurs > Stamp on into our Art Studio for some roaring good art projects. We’ll use unconventional mediums to create our own unique dinosaur process art.
  • Simple Science (3:00p): Excavation Exploration > It’s excavation time, can you dig it? Dinosaurs may be extinct, but this activity is sure to bring your child’s curiosity to life! We will begin by reading the story, When Sue Found Suethen we will put our fine motor skills to the test as we work together to dig up some dino bones.

Grown-up Tip: Parents can play a key role in teaching their children to play. Playing with your child allows you the opportunity to observe how they process, what interests them, and how they problem solve. Introducing them to games and things of interest to you enjoyed as a child can help to develop a bond and expand their horizons.
