Baby Steps through Pretend City

Soar into Baby Steps as we explore space and beyond! Throughout the month of July, Pretend City is exploring stars, planets, and everything outer space! Providing opportunities for your little one to explore helps children be more observant, encourages problem-solving, and expands their descriptive vocabulary. Join us on Sunday, July 11th at 8 am for an out-of-this-world event! Plus, enjoy a special visit from the Orange County Fire Authority to help us learn how to play safe this summer!
Specifically, for: Infant (0-18 months), grownups. For the comfort of our infant guests, no older siblings please.
- Art Studio Sessions: Teach your little star how to stamp while making their own starry sky! Stamping not only helps develop your child’s grasping and fine motor skills but creating a design or pattern with stamps activates creativity and incorporates eye hand motor coordination!
- Sensational Storytime: 8:45 AM: Join us for an interactive storytime with our friendly OCFA Fire Fighters!
Play Partner: Orange County Fire Authority, Good to Go Coordinator, Pretendgineers and Brain Builders; our experienced stage staff of trained early childhood and child development educators.
Grown-up Tip: Use a shoelace to lace macaroni or cereal. Lacing develops fine motor skills and eye/hand coordination. This is a gross motor skill that is perfect for toddlers. It helps them control their hands in tandem with their shoulders and arms.
