My daughters, Sofia, and Siena, fell in love with the museum during their first visit. Every time we visit, they have such an amazing time. It’s their excitement that pushed me to support Pretend City.
The focus on diversity and representation is the most important work Pretend City does in my eyes. I always want to make sure that my daughters feel represented.
We attended the Cooking in the City event with Nigerian cuisine. I used this to share stories about our Nigerian background with my daughters. It was a great learning experience supported by good food and a lot of play!
I wish everyone in Orange County knew how much both the children and parents love this place. Every time I walk through Pretend City doors, there is an abundance of smiles. Says a lot about the energy in the museum!
