We decided to give to Pretend City during the Covid shut down because I know how much they depend on visitors, memberships, birthday parties, and field trips for revenue to continue running the museum. It would break my heart to see Pretend City close and become another Covid-19 loss. I have so many fond memories of my children playing and growing there, and I don’t want those memories to end.
Pretend city does amazing things from allowing kids to be free to play with their imagination, to exposing them to STEAM and community inner workings. One of my favorite events is “When I Grow up Day”. Our son lights up seeing all the trucks and careers you can dream to be!
One of our favorite memories is when during our son’s last trip to Baby Steps he was given a book . . . he still loves this book and asks to be read to often.
