LINDA HUNTER, M.A., M.F.T.
Director of Education


Linda earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Development and Master’s Degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the prestigious Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena.

Linda has over 35 years of experience working with children and families; 23 years of Early Childhood Education experience in various capacities as a Child Development Specialist and Parent Educator, and 12 years of clinical experience as a Licensed Family Therapist.

Career Highlights include:
  • Designing, creating developmentally appropriate programs for, and managing corporate childcare centers for such major companies as Apple Computer, Union Bank, FHP, and PG&E.

  • Teaching preschoolers and kindergarteners. Teaching adults parenting classes in the community college system.
  • Acting as the Child Development Consultant for the Family Rooms at The Getty Center and, soon to be reopened Getty Villa. In that capacity, Linda has been instrumental in helping the institution develop and design educational spaces for children and their families.
As an Orange County resident, educator, mother and grandmother, Linda is committed to making Pretend City a very special place where children and their families can explore, experience, and learn together.
